Scintillating Shore

A wise man once said, "There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, The other is as though everything is a miracle."
These few days has been great. Chilling out in the shore has been quite an experience. Started on wednesday where i met up with boon in the city for work. We both signed up for some hardcore, intensive, traffic surveying somewhere in Albany.
Subsequently, we got assigned to inspect traffic along the graville roundabout. It was fun just sitting there singing, chatting, waving at little kiddies, laughing and on the odd ocassion actually counting traffic.
Later, Boon brought me to his sister dance performance in Rangitoto college. IT WAS AWESOME!!...i meant the college, with its own hockey turf and stuff...lol.... Nevertheless, the dance was great. Dancing is really present in the Lim's family DNA. His sister can dance and needless to say, boon can dance as well (u should see his windmill, no hands man, all the "wind" comes from his a$$). Later that night, we went to pak's house to meet up with lum. Watched some vampire movie and played some tekken then it was off to MOMo tea.
As usual, boon ordered the usual, fried pork with cook's "special" sauce. After that, we left for home , thankfully, no weird suggestions from boon. Sleeping in boon's spacious rumpus was delightful but sleeping in boon's spacious rumpus with boon beside, thats another story.
The next day (merdeka!), we met up with the welesley crew and went forYum Cha in grand harbour. Food was allright but pricey. After eating, we left for work.
Later that day, after a dinner with boon's family (thank yew aunty), boon and i went to snow planet to watch a skiing tournament going on. It was great there, with a live band performance and some crazy skills. Boon seemed to know everyone there, even a random couple who sat next to us. Then alas, night dawns, and it was round two of my encounter with the ferocious beast. The seemingly tame, placid looking sean, upon midnight, turns into a fierce, savage, heavy gruntting beast.
Needless to say i didnt have much sleep, although it was not boon's fault as he volunteered to sleep somewhere else but i just wanted to be the first man who survived 2 nights. Shopping was next on the agenda. Requiring some female insight, we got kai ann to come with us.
Boon bought a pair of bording shoes and pants. For lunch, we had fish and chips in Cornwall park. I chimed in with a "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the 'damn door?!"No, it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality. love that song.
Father day is ere...do something for yer old man....make him happy...wash his car, mow the lawn, stock the fridge with victoria bitter....Happy Father's day
